In addition to animal welfare efforts aimed at improving the situation of many animals, NetAP is also committed to helping individual animals in need. Although from the point of view of the overall situation, the commitment and the associated effort for a single animal or a group of animals may seem less efficient, for the individual it represents 100%, i.e. a life or death decision. The animals rescued by NetAP are like ambassadors for their species and tell their individual story on behalf of the many other animals that we are unable to save.
We make no distinction as to the type of animal we rescue and work closely with specialized rescue centers. We head out whenever possible. Our activities include rescue operations for hedgehogs, birds, frogs, toads, bats and many other animals, as well as our commitment to cats, dogs, horses and farm animals.
Wild animals are released once they have recovered. However, this is not possible with pets and farm animals. Some of these animals remain under the patronage of NetAP for the rest of their lives. We are always looking for sponsors for these animals who will contribute to the maintenance costs. This is because the long-term rescue of an animal is not only time-consuming, but above all also involves a large financial commitment. Medical care and accommodation in particular incur considerable costs in the long run.
In emergencies, we help quickly and non-bureaucratically, usually not finding the time to tell you about it. A few rescues are so spectacular that they make it into the media. As we always rescue a particularly large number of cats in Switzerland, we have set up a Facebook album especially for these cases.
