Spaying and Neutering / Prevention

If the animals manage to escape this fate, they often lead a life marked by hunger and disease, are mistreated, or die in traffic accidents. The animals reproduce up to three times a year. Mathematically speaking, many millions of animals can result from a pair of animals after 10 years. Spaying and neutering are the only means to break the cycle of misery and proactively prevent this animal suffering.

NetAP regularly conducts castration campaigns and programs or supports other animal welfare activists and organizations in their implementation. Our SwissVETS/EuroVETS teams are deployed throughout the year.

The spay and neuter program include, in addition to the actual surgery, basic medical care, parasite treatment, painkillers, and antibiotics, as well as individually tailored treatments depending on the condition and needs of the animal. Many animals are also vaccinated and microchipped. All animals remain in our care for at least one to three days after the procedure.
